PICK OF THE DAY
Today's pick of the day is from Bhārat Gaṇarājya- India that is. At today's all staff meeting at Beauty School, only Dean Harris and Ms. Chandni, Beauty School's chemistry teacher, could agree on today's pick of the day. It is Miss Universe India 2008, Simran Kaur Mundi. Dean Harris, of course, loves all things India, and Ms. Chandni showed, as is characteristic of devout, fundamentalist Miss Universe worshipers, extreme nationalism in her choice. Beauty School's librarian, Lorraine, has made her pick (Brazil) and is sticking to her like bikini wax. Professor Scribner is engaged in a heated, metaphysical interior debate with herself over her pick. Madge, the cafeteria lady, has made her pick and will serve it up soon. Dean Di Maggio is abstaining for fear of aggravating the Miss Universe fever that is clearly affecting everyone else. Nonetheless, Simran shined at the presentation show today and has earned the Pick of the Day, favoritism or not! Will Simran give India a Universal hat trick? If Dean Harris and Ms. Chandni have anything to do with it, the answer is yes!

MISS GUYANA IS MISS INDIA WORLDWIDE 2012
Alana Seebarran of Guyana is the new Miss India Worldwide 2012. She was crowned by Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani at the climax of a glittering gala last night in Paramaribo, Suriname. Miss India Worldwide 2012 first runner-up was Kuwait's Anvita Sudarshan, and Miss India Worldwide 2012 second runner-up was Australia's Olivia Rose. 35 women competed for the coveted crown of this regal and storied diaspora pageant.
